My first thought was wow this sounds like every company that TCG invests in. Then I went to their portfolio page and saw, you guessed it....Crunchyroll.
I think one of the positives of living in a digital age is that you don't have to rely on the people in your hometown to have the same interests and passions to form extremely strong connections. Working in gaming I'm fascinated by the people that have formed friendships and marriages through favorite games and streamers. I'm impressed to see so many IP/products/creators that provide that connection and don't have to directly facilitate those connections....aka who in the comment section wants to be my friend ;)
My take on this was it's adding a stickiness towards the product & services you offer, i also feel initially you need to find your audience and then build thing on top of it, Effective marketing creates product/service loyalty and requires a focus on audience retention. Constantly changing domains or content can hinder long-term audience engagement and ROI. Paywalls are one option, but consider the hierarchy of needs: functional, emotional, life-changing, and social impact. Consistency in content and domain is key to retaining an audience's interest and commitment.

Love the elements of value diagram!
The elements pyramid is fascinating, Reid!
Thank you for the mention and another banger!
